1. Hi, Crispini
I'm just stopping by -- on my way upstairs to watch AI. I may check in a little later, but most likely not. I have a bit of a sore throat and want to get to bed early. Have fun tonight!

Great we won the war time to go home.

What a Joke. All those good Americans and Iraqi innocents
would still be alive if we had just not played w/ the hornets
nest.

Zarqawi was behind 9/11?

All b.s.

5. Is it the gray suit or the lights where he's standing...
but Keith's hair looks grayer (and there's nothing wrong with that - just an observation) when the camera shows him full-faced.

And... if it's Iraq, Keith must be standing!! :7

Too bad they couldn't have been adversarial.

He should've had that idiot fundie minister in the studio doing a standup with him...I would've liked to see a light-saber duel between those two!

. . . "Olbermann, who started life as a sportscaster, is articulate and consistently amiable to all of his guests, and because he relaxes them, they open up to him and one usually gets the true dimensionality of both the people and the issues."

He failed to act to help me protect my son from a threat of kidnap by his father to a country where I have no rights. He didn't even respond to my two letter PLEADING for his help.
Funny thing, though - my two state representatives did, one Dem (House) and one Republican (Senate) and all THEY could do was get the child support issues surrounding the whole case back on track. They couldn't help with the international issues, obviously.

Now if these people claim they were makin' babies during the hurricanes I'm not gonna argue with them. But that stuff about delivery rooms being fuller nine months after the NYC blackouts and 9/11 is a myth. Keith, Keith...snopes.com is your friend...

On the other hand, Oreo kept pestering me, knocking things off my desk. At first I thought she was playing. Alas, she was saying "it's time to get my wet food, please." (Roo would come in and announce "I am hungry" very loudly - that meant the canned stuff, since they're on a continual feed for the dry).

Now I'm having to learn the language of the heir-apparent. :)

I heard a report on "Fresh Air" (NPR) about media, and the guy was talking about how TV news is in transition, loss of viewers, etc. He did mention that one bright spot was Jon Stewart and The Daily Show. He said it's really quite a phenomenon, since it's often hard-hitting news, not just about politics, but also critiquing the media.

I hope those guys come back refreshed and better than ever!

...how do we know there wasn't a PALM TREE right next to the STABLE???

Next thing this guy will say, I thought, is that we all know Jesus couldn't have been born under a palm tree because it was December 25, so of course it was winter and it was snowing and he was born under a PINE TREE. After all, his mama bought him one of those plastic Nativities when he was a kid and it had glitter snow all over the roof of the stable so IT MUST BE TRUE!

Things are moving v-e-r-y s-l-o-w-l-y for me. If it doesn't get better, I'm gonna give up and just watch the show. So don't take it personally if I disappear on ya.

I am a jeans and t-shirts person so I would never comment on Keith's clothing choices. But hate mongering preachers and clashing colors I will. I do like him better in dark but well he must like it or the reaction to it. But I'll take him in anything long as he isn't on vacation.

still watch. Oh and here is a great definition of "The Look" ferrets give you. Long but you can always read it later.

THE LOOK as defined by the Extreme Weezils:

FertPaw Cuteness is required as the basic part of THE LOOK and must be perfected by all ferrets at all times. Making an attempt at various random facial expressions is a good way to enhance your cuteness. Tilt your head slightly to one side, stand up on your hind legs or look at your human while lying upside down on your back. Practice makes perfect, but it is usually found that all ferrets are born with this capacity.

FertPawStare silently, unmoving and unwavering, at said human for an extended period of time. This creates a vacuum, which humans feel the uncontrollable urge to fill with action or speech. If speech is first, and your human starts talking to you , telling you how they cannot possibly play with you/let you out/give you snacks at the moment because they are doing something of greater importance or urgency, that is a good sign: said human is beginning to crack. Keep staring.

FertPawWhile staring as described above, attempt to project your desires or current whims by way of mind pictures. Humans call it positive affirmation, or something like that, we call it the Silent Motivator. "You feel the overwhelming desire to give me a raisin." or "We need to be let out for a romp immediately, regardless of what you may be already doing at the moment."

FertPawA bonus quality is having a pitiful, soulful, "Do you love me?" look on your face. This characteristic is invaluable in strengthening the power of THE LOOK. Humans call this "guilt." We call it effective.
To wrap up THE LOOK:
find a high place to climb up on, such as your cage, shelves, etc.
choose moments that your human can see you
climb up there, facing your human, and give them your best LOOK

No matter how many times you get placed back down on the floor by your frustrated but charmed human, keep it up, and you will eventually get anything you want. The is a tried and tested strategy of the Extreme Weezils!
