18. Oddly enough, it's the name of the cat rescue organization.
I found out today that my vet was one of the organizers in getting the group off the ground!

Their mission is to trap, examine, spay/neuter, vaccinate/deworm, and release feral cats. Any kittens found are spayed/neutered, given their shots, and put up for adoption. They monitor all feral colonies, and provide food, water and shelter; and all kitties are kept in foster homes until adopted.

My next step is to get a phone call from CC & Keith's foster mom, and set up a time to meet, then take home my new babies!!! :bounce::bounce:

Keith is still pretty stripey tonight.

Cats Anonymous? Is that where cats have to stand up in front of other cats and say "Hi, my name is Joe W. and I'm...a cat."

"Hi, Joe!"

Not so lucky as to work from home, but I finally had a few hours to take it easy at work, which is rare.

New trainee working out well so far. Keep your fingers crossed.

137. Okay, you've got to read James Wolcott, Patsy.
I missed KOEB last night (but not Keith), was feeling under the weather, and needed something to cheer myself up with late in the evening when I checked James Wolcott's website. I read him to keep from going completely insane, and he did not disappoint.

Turd on the Run

Posted by James Wolcott

It's the burning question failing to divide America.

Is Bush an idiot?

Is water wet?

Is Colin Farrell stubbly?

(SNIP)

And in Virginia, we have a presidential aspirant who's more crap than Bush, and a bigger idiot, boggling as that may be. I speak of course of the man who henceforth shall be known as Senator Shithead.

And links from the Wolcott site:

139. Thanks for that, CB.
I fully enjoyed his take. Combine this with Cafferty's angry man rant, the NSA warrantless wiretapping being found to be unconstitutional, and it's another good day for democracy. And, yes, George Allen is a schmuck.

BTW: I think Prescott said it, and I don't think it's the first time he said it.

I missed the show. We went out to do some cruising prior to Saturday's big event because you can actually move on the road now. Every year it seems to start earlier and earlier -- people out on their lawn chairs, tons of classic cars from all over the place. You've got to see it to know what it's like.

Did you see the link to my album on last night's thread? I'm going to catch up on the thread now.

I had a dream about him last night. I was at some restaurant and we were having a really great discussion about something -- I don't know what, but I was very happy just talking to a handsome, smart, former president. Then I had a dream that I was in some church and Hillary was there and we were talking. Very strange.
