800 Billion Flies Can't Be Wrong.
KO takes on O'Lielly - directly!

O'Reilly Slams Olbermann's Ratings
> Update: 12:47pm: Olbermann responds via e-mail: "About big ratings, as they say, 800 billion flies can't be wrong."

Is Bill O'Reilly feeling threatened by Keith Olbermann? On Wednesday's Factor, the FNC host felt it necessary to include this in his Talking Points Memo of New Year's Resolutions...

"Speaking of disasters, our competitor at MSNBC is a notorious smear merchant. So far this month, December, "The Factor's" third rerun at 4:00 in the morning has beaten the MSNBC's original 8:00 program more than 50 percent of the time. Unbelievable."

(Also, O'Reilly resolved "to report better, write better, interview better, and interrupt less," admitting "that last one may be dicey.")

1. So O'Reilly's admitting
that it would be impossible for him to improve his writing, interviewing, or reporting skills? I guess there's only so much you can do with a big old pile of steaming horseshit (but man, can it attract flies)...

2. Exactly!
Honey attracts more flies than vinegar, but horseshit attracts the most!

3. It seems as if Bill has put his loofah down long enough to notice that
maybe, just maybe, he's not as wonderful at his job as he thinks he is!

What I have to ask is why, if Keith's ratings are SOOOO much lower than Bill's, does he feel so threatened by him that he won't even name him? LOL!

Poor Bill. He just lost the War on Christmas (no one with any brains believes there is one) and has been made to look like a fool, and the most he can do is whine about how his ratings are SOOOOO high. Pathetic, really!

4. I don't think it's the ratings
Edited on Thu Dec-22-05 10:36 PM by Patsy Stone
I think it's the surge in publicity and popularity. He sees him as a challenge to his ego, not his ratings. Randi, Ed Schultz, the guy who sits in for Jerry Springer, Rolling Stone, and a host of others have mentioned him recently. He was given the anchor chair during Shrub's little one-act play the other night. Was O'Lielly given that position on Faux? Nope. Brit Hume. O'Reilly is a putz.

Also, all of the WPITW awards can't be helpin' either!

Great snarky e-mail, btw! :loveya:
