OK, who else is officially disgusted?
Know how when you come onto DU, you now see a neon naked-chick and an ad about "PORN" and where it's headed and so on? Well, as you may have noticed, it's courtesy of our friends at MSNBC. Who have decided to do a great big ol' marketing campaign on the many Internets to promote three of their shows. Read below, from TVNewser:

MSNBC cable will launch its "largest concentrated online pitch" to date on Tuesday, "running advertising on hundreds of Web sites and blogs" (including TVNewser), the New York Times reports. The campaign will promote Countdown with Keith Olbermann, Live & Direct with Rita Cosby, and Scarborough Country, at a cost estimated at just under $1 million.

OK. So they're going to promote Keith. But look who obviously came FIRST on their list of priorities...OK, I know her ratings aren't as good as his, but come on. And look at how they're promoting her...with ads about PORN. Yes, folks, that's what Rita Skeeter has to offer...your latest update on The New Face of Porn! She's probably going to that new place in Nevada you guys were talking about earlier (for women...all guys) and maybe another trip back to the ol' Bunny Ranch. Yep. Looks as if Rita has found her level.

Do they REALLY think THIS is what is going to attract DU eyeballs to their shows? (And if you think the ad on DU is bad, check out the one on TVNewser.)

If this is what they insist on doing to advertise Rita, I want to see them advertise Countdown with neon naked Keiths. LOL.

1. I think MSNBC needs to do some more research
They're advertising the wrong show to this particular target audience (meaning DU as a whole). I have yet to see one positive post about Rita Skeeter, other than Crispy's stating she looked pretty before she turned her face into a Cuisinart experiment. I highly doubt a "Rita does porn" show is going to change that opinion.

But, in the end, it's their money, & if they want to waste it, so be it. At least Grovelbot will be able to get the missus a really nice present this year.

2. It proves once and for all
that Reeter is a $10 news-whore. Like there was any doubt. :eyes:
