Let's face reality, folks.

Yankees in town tonight...Randy Johnson on the mound...I think it all spells "one big night off for KO."

Of course, I COULD be wrong...but I doubt it.

So just to make everyone feel a bit better...here's a parody tune for you all, in the vein of that old Eddie Cochran classic, "Summertime Blues." Enjoy.

Well I'm gonna raise a fuss, 'cause it's time for baseball playoffs,
And you know sure as shootin' that Keith's gonna take some days off,
Every time there's a Yankees game and things are goin' right,
The newsletter will say: "Alison in for Keith tonight"!
Sometimes I wonder what us Countdown fans will do,
But there ain't no cure for the playoff-time blues.

Well the more those pinstripes win, the worse it's gonna be,
'Cause the more games they play, the more that Keith will wanna see,
He'll have no time to sit and talk to policy wonks,
