Baseball playoffs....what does it mean?
Okay, folks. All I know is that the Mariners lost (AGAIN) and the Yankees won.

So, what does all this mean for KO being on "Countdown"???

2. The Yankees have clinched the AL East so they now...

go into the Pennant race. The two teams who got wildcard berths will play each other, San Diego will play the Cards and I've forgotten who the Yanks will play. The two teams who win their respective Pennant races will play in the World Series.(Cards win!)

3. I think the Yankees are playing the Angels next.
The Astros got a wild-card berth, too.

:woohoo:

4. Yes, the Yankees play the Angels...
in California, the Astros play the Braves, and the White Sox play the Red Sox in Boston (I think). The Cards play San Diego in St. Louis first and then go to San Diego.

That's not all of them, just can't remember the rest right now.

5. The important thing to remember
is that the Indians are CHOKERS. You hear me? CHOKERS.

There. I feel better now.

As for how this affects us as Countdown fans. I believe the first Yankees-Angels game in New York will be Friday. So, don't get your hopes up for Keith being in this Friday. That is all.

*SIGH* I mean, heck, the guy just did a WHOLE FULL WEEK of shows again...how much can you expect of him, after all?

'cause if it is, and he's going to play baseball hooky anyway, he might just take a notion to hang around for an extra hour with Dan again?

and yes, I know the Braves are chokers. :bounce:

8. Well, there's no guarantee Keith will attend all Yankees home games
They battled for the AL last season, right? Then again, I think MSNBC kept him close because it was an election year and he may not have had a choice. THIS year, however...

Put it this way, we can't be sure of anything!

9. Let me amend that.
We can't be sure of anything...except that Keith will make me sick with his blatant Yankee homerism for as long as they stay alive in the playoffs. :puke:

10. I'm worried about the Cards.
Edited on Mon Oct-03-05 08:54 PM by Gogi
They lost Reyes when he tore a ligament in his elbow during their 100th win at Busch. Not good news at all! Puts a lot of pressure on Carpenter and they will need to do better at batting.

:hide: KO, anything approaching a compliment towards Blivet will get you beheaded in certain quarters (but not by moi!).
