Weekend natter thread, anyone?
Hi ho, what's everyone up to this lovely Sunday? I'm just drinking my morning coffee and doing my DU! :7

Ok, I need to go mow the lawn. If ya'll see me on here, yell at me and tell me to get to work! :P

1. I'm having coffee too and wondering about things
http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=132x2098238

I think I'm gonna go get the car washed and waxed and maybe buy books or shoes. Later, we're off to the Marlins game.

:hi: Happy Sunday!

2. Me? I slept in.
:) I went to Corpus on Friday & got back yesterday afternoon. :) Man, I miss living there! Tons of people out on their bikes because there's a bike ride in 2 weeks, along the lines of the annual beach to bay marathon. It was bright & sunny too so I wasn't a happy camper when I had to leave.

As for my Sunday, I plan to just vege at the house, play with the dogs, hang online, etc. Unlike Crispy, I've already done MY chores. :P

3. I still need to
shop. clean. try to find some time to relax before doing some necessary pre-work things and going to bed early so I can go to work early tomorrow and finish up something needing doing that probably won't get done on time any other way.

Oh well!

Yesterday, I did nothing except post on DU and sleep all day. I think I'm trying to catch up from this past week.

We had a new member join church today! :bounce:

5. Sunny Sunday With the Muffster!
It's a beautiful day in the Not So Great Northwest. I'm trying to type while my cat is walking across the keyboard. This is NOT easy.

Had a fun day yesterday. I finally saw "Wedding Crashers," which was really funny. Vince Vaughn is almost as tall as KO! Today's been spent doing housework, running errands, and getting tickets for "Finding Nemo on Ice" for two of my friends and their little ones. Yup, that's my social life, folks...going to ice shows with the under five set! (Actually, it should be a hoot. I love watching little kids get excited about that stuff!)

At least the Huskies won yesterday, and the Seahawks are leading as of now. Hard to believe it's football season already!

Have a fun day, everyone!

6. "Finding Nemo on Ice"
sounds like a kiddy horror flick.

"I looked all over. Finally, I walked into the local Pick-n-Save, and there is was - in the fresh fish case. Nemooooooooooooo!"

1. Oil whips
2. Check Sound Proofing in "special room."
3. Sight in Scope on tranq. gun
4. Pee in some republican's cheerios
5. Check cuffs and other toys

Rev's job .......

Oh lord give me strength in this time of Packer sucking. Watch over
Bret because he can no longer throw the long ball and his team is bad.
And please DEAR LORD help people into the light that although Reggie was
a good football player he did not speak for you.

Green Bay = 5 & 11

11. I want Crispi's list.
:(

Brett did OK - he needs receivers. And a defense would help, too.

14. Whatever I needed to get Sparky back.
Brett lost Javon Walker last week - for the season. My question is "where was Bubba Franks?" Donald had some amazing catches.
OK, I'll admit it - I fell asleep in the 2nd and 3rd quarter.

The Pack will turn around - they always do.

20. Wow, the Rev IS an optimistic sort.
If MY team were not the Browns, and my team lost to the Browns, I'd have gotten out the razor blades and ropes by now.

No, wait, I DO have the razor blades and ropes out.

Oh, yeah, that's not because of football, that's because Keith went on vacation again. My bad!

13. LOL!
I did pretty good today actually. Mowed the back lawn (but not the front), tidied the yard, did some leaves, changed the filters in the two fishponds, did a bit of laundry. Then I was supposed to go to the grocery store. But I've been thinking about buying an iPod. So I sat down ... just for a few minutes... to browse. Trying to decide if I can get by with the Nano at 4 gigs, or if I need the full-fledged iPod. So I'm reading some reviews... and I download iTunes and start ripping a few songs just to get an idea about how much space they take up.

Six hours later, I still haven't gotten to the grocery store but I've ordered my new iPod Nano and have ripped almost 2 gig worth of stuff. Heh heh heh. :7

15. errands. Lots of 'em.
Someone's having a birthday party next Saturday. Assuming Rita's not in the vicinity, that is. Other than that, car died, so we have a new battery, and I got rear-ended (car has a new "beauty mark" on the bumper; nothing serious). In other words, one of those weekends.

19. I've got a Shuffle. It's all right, but I'm ticked at Apple.
The people at their stores tell you it's compatible with all their computers, but they are ignorant and they lie. It is NOT compatible with eMacs. You have to buy a $30 dock to hook it up to your eMac. Not fun.

21. I'm so stoked.
I can't wait for it to get here! It's so cool how easy it is to find your tunes once they've been ripped. I'm up to 3 gig of stuff, 967 songs, and I'm about a quarter of the way through my collection. I'm listening to stuff I haven't gotten out in ages 'cause I didn't want to go dig through piles of CDs. Man, iTunes is da bom! :P
