If it makes you feel any better, our cat Mouse went missing once before a hurricane. The neighbor across the street said she had seen him get hit by a car, but there was no cat in the middle of the road, so we looked and looked until we had to evacuate. The hurricane never hit us directly, but we had terrible rains and winds nonetheless. After the storm we put up posters and looked every day, but nothing. One night, about ten days later, as we were coming home from dinner, there he was, sitting under a telephone pole with one of the posters on it as if to say, "Could you please call my mom?" He had a broken tail and we figure he had spent the time under the building, but he came back.

The digs are good. I'm seeing more and more of the floor every day. I'm getting kinda tired of eating out every day, though. So maybe my next priority is to get the kitchen done (it's about halfway there).

Poor Mouse must have been terrified! I'm glad he found you again.

I did manage to do a still print from a video of CC. I'm trying now to upload it to photobucket (the video). I can't seem to get to save the still pic - I don't have the software for it, I guess. Once it's uploaded, I'll post the link.
