Poll question: Should Rachel get her own group?
Should post regarding her and her show be allowed in the KO/Countdown group, or should she get her own group? Just wondering. And maybe a little bored. :-)

1. Aw, let her stay here!
I see her as a Keith spin-off, anyways. :P

:)

2. I'm certainly cool with that!
One group rather than 2 is less work for me!! And I like less work! :)

3. Works for me
I was surprised not to see a thread started here for her premiere!

4. I feel she's not getting nearly enough attention or acclaim as over here
she deserves, so I voted she should get her own group.
Just my two cents.

6. "Damn the man"?!?
Um, this is the KOEB. We're not into man-hating here. :-)

We all love Rachel, and I'm actually for her getting her own group.

7. That came out wrong...
I love Keith... my "damn the man" was actually a reference to damning the "establishment"

Thanks for catching that :)

8. I found this while looking for the RM group. I think it should be!

She came out strong tonight exposing McSame as the two faced (although to us...he is quite one dimensional) black hole that he is.

10. I know I haven't posted around here much lately,(I've been lurking), but I'm really disappointed
in the fact that Rachel is mentioned very little, IMO, over here in the KO/Countdown group. Does everyone just stop posting here after Countdown is over??? Do ya'll stop watching after KO is over? I'm not trying to be snarky or anything, but I see much more mention of Rachel elsewhere on DU, practically all of which is incredibly favorable.

I'm just trying to figure this out. I read the thread every night, and not as much mention of Rachel over here since her program debuted as I would have expected.

Just my two cents.

11. Normally, I watch Rachel after Keith is over, but I don't post.
Certainly, anyone who wants to post a live show thread during Rachel (RMEB Meeting?) is welcome to do so in the Clubhouse until such day should arrive as she should have her own group. (And that day may well arrive soon, given the populariy of her show--I think there's an excellent case for it, whereas it took months for the KOEB to get out of the elections group and into a group of its own.) I just may not start it or show up in it that much, only because doing an hour's worth of live show thread five nights a week is a lot (sometimes too much) and two hours five nights a week would be quite heavy.

I would expect it wouldn't be too hard to find a bunch of people who would normally gather to post during that hour, however. You might find some KOEB'ers there too, depending on the circumstances.

The Clubhouse is pretty flexible, but if you want to establish a tradition, you may have to start it yourself. For example, so far we haven't had a regular Countdown first-reair (10 ET) show thread--although some people choose to watch the reair because the live show comes on too early in their time zone for them to catch. Anyone who wants to start a regular thread for that airing is surely welcome, as is anyone who wants to start a "night owl reair" thread for the 2 AM ET show. It just hasn't happened yet. If enough people are around, though, and know it will be here...

In short, if you want a Rachel live show thread, announce that you are starting one--you might want to do it in Media and GD, too--and see who shows up!

12. Thanks for the reply and suggestion, Berry.
:hi:
I don't think I'd be able to do it myself for a variety of personal reasons, one being the computer I'm using is my gf's, not mine, and I don't always have access when I'd like. There's other personal stuff, too,......that I won't go into. Let me just say that life under the Bush-Cheney regime is becoming even more difficult. Oy.

Anyhoo, I'm glad there's so much lurve, respect and appreciation for Rachel, and of course for our dear Keefe.

Thanks again, Berry.

13. If someone else posted the thread, would you be able to contribute at least some of the time?
Maybe you could ask for a volunteer to get the thread started, or for someone who'd be willing to at least get it started and let it rip when you're not around, so it will be there when you can make it (or you can start it then).

The KOEB show thread tradition is so loose...on any given night at least one of us is usually around, so at least one of us who is starts the thread and away we go. No formal schedule to it--if we get multiple threads, the dupes get marked as such and we all move to one.

If you can find maybe five people willing to participate on a Rachel show thread by starting it when possible each night if no one else has by the time the show starts, that should be enough to start a habit.

Good luck! (And let fellow Clubhousers know if we can help.)
