Hey Clubhousers! I WON my fight for unemployment benefits!!!!
After 5 weeks, I got the notice of decision in the mail today, that I "was not in willful and wanton disregard of the employer's interests or that you caused harm to the employer. Misconduct has not been established as defined by law.....It is concluded that the employer was the moving party, so this separation will be reviewed as a discharge." (Yes, I quit, but it was either that or be fired; there was no other choice, but unemployment is looking at it as me being forced out.)

So, WOOHOOOOOOOOOOO!! I provided documentation to support my side of the story; all the employer had was whatever lies they pulled out of their backsides, which was nothing.

Dayam, but I'm happy! It's not a ton of money, but it will definitely help.

2. Hurray for you!
I wasn't sure you'd get anything since you had been there such a short time. So glad you were victorious! Now go get 'em and sue 'em!

3. They determined I was eligible because of how I was forced
out, and that I had not done anything that they said I did (I have proof; they do not).

They can, of course, appeal the finding, just as I could if I didn't like the decision they made.

Hopefully, though, they won't, or if they do, they will lose the appeal.

6. I'm so glad for you, SG!
:applause: You had 'em dead to rights, without a leg to stand on, and they were fools enough to think you didn't know it, or were willing to chance you wouldn't defend yourself. They were wrong.

Good for you!! Now I hope you can get out there and find something much, much better!!

10. Thanks, Berry!
Heck, they even lied in their response to further inquiry by Employment Security, saying I made no effort to solve the problems they brought up.

1) There WERE no problems; they just made that up.
2) I DID try to reason with them, citing the same evidence I did when I sent info to ES. They just weren't interested in hearing it. ES was though.

9. Woo hoo.
:woohoo:Glad you got them since every little bit helps. I also hope it goes toward clearing your name. Still pissed at that company though. What they did was so low.

Yeah, it was low, that's for certain.

But this is a good step!

14. Hey, SG, I'm very happy to hear this!
I don't get in the room nearly as often (local politics) but I'm so glad of the outcome. The rewards go beyond money, you know. You saved another day for another person.

That's what I think we all would like to do.

I knew you'd prevail, they were just so blatantly unethical in what they tried to do to you.
