Good luck on getting the bike. I love riding it just for fun. I'm not a racer or hard core biker, just for leisure and exercise. It felt so good to hop on one again. Before I knew it, I had a huge grin on my face just like a little kid.

But my bike has seen its best days. I need a new one.

22. I was going to buy it at Target

but after talking to one of the sales guys, realized they knew nothing. I went to an independent bike shop around the corner. I paid a little more, but he adjusted it to fit me, showed me how to take the front wheel off, and told me to come back in 2-3 months for a tune up. Free. It's nice to have a relationship with a bike shop.

Next one I buy will be from an independent shop. I had a relationship with one once where I used to live. They were good people.

20. I think it's technically a comfort bike.

If I put a basket on it, I'd look like Katherine Hepburn riding down the street. When I lived in Seattle, I had a fancy bike and rode it everywhere. I lived on Capitol Hill, too. Somehow the bike got left behind in one of my moves.

I have trouble running because of rotten knees and plantar fascitis comes and goes. Biking is a good solution.

Maybe I look more like Margaret Hamilton with Toto in the basket. Hmmmm.
