Yes, as Cheesy put it earlier, I am over the moon! **F.I.N.A.L.L.Y** some justice for the families, both parents AND children! :woohoo: :bounce: :woohoo: The 3rd Court of Appeals found that the State did NOT prove its case as against the mothers named in the appeal, & therefore MUST vacate its orders granting the State temporary custody of the children. The district court has 10 days to comply with the order or else the Appellate Court will do her job for her. The State also has 10 days to appeal the decision to the Texas Supreme Court. Since they have cancelled all hearings for today & tomorrow, I have no indication of what the impact of this decision will be on this case as it stands right now.

but I don't do appellate law, so don't quote me on that. ;)

Let's just say lunch was weird. We were all sitting around, depressed & gearing up to go back & tilt at windmills when one person's phone rang & it was our lead appeals guy. Needless to say, after the call, we were all :wow: & :party: & :wow: & then dove for our cell phones to spread the news.
