1. You'd be surprised how many women DON'T kill family members
And not just Aileen Wuornos ...

Christine Falling, for example, lethal babysitter. Was "great" with kids, but they kept dying in her care. SHE kept moving from place to place and finally somebody connected the dots.

Saw an A&E show on "Deadly Dotty," the San Francisco lady who killed her boarders and buried them in the backyard. Police just followed the rose bushes; wherever a rose grew wonderfully well, therein lay a body.

2. I forgot about Falling...

Over 20 years ago, I remember reading something about her in the Miami Herald's "Tropic" magazine...Falling said that the babies had, "explodin' hearts" and that is what killed them.

She was another sad example of poverty and ignorance. She had had a terrible life, as well, which does not excuse killing anyone, of course.

Sad story.

The "Tropic" story...

3. Wuornos also had a terrible life
Even worse than the movie depicted, really.

Which, as you said, hardly excuses her from taking the lives that she took.

4. She also used the term "smotheration"...
which I always thought had a certain red clay poeticism to it

Hers was indeed a sad story
