Greetings Leonard Peltier Supporters,
June 26, 2006 will mark the 31st anniversary of the "reign of terror" period, that changed many people's lives forever. In 1975 our warrior and brother, Joe Killsright Stuntz was killed in a shootout that occurred on the Jumping Bull compound in Oglala. Two FBI agents, Jack Coler and Ron Williams, were also killed.
The past thirty years supporters have gathered at Oglala to honor the lives that were lost on June 26, 1975 and the “reign of terror.” This year will be the seventh year that the Oglala Commemoration Committee has sponsored the gathering. For those of us that are unable to physically attend the gathering at Oglala, we each honor and remember this day in our own special way. People worldwide remember this day each year. Some supporters will be holding prayer vigils, hosting their own gathering, showing "Incident at Oglala" or hosting a chat room. Each dedicated to Joe Stuntz and Leonard Peltier, which today still remains as a political prisoner falsely convicted of killing the two FBI agents.
The Leonard Peltier Defense Committee would like to ask each of our supporters to help us continue our fight for Leonard's freedom by joining us in the "Freedom Walk" for Leonard Peltier. By sponsoring a stone (one time basis or monthly) you are helping towards Leonard’s ongoing legal campaign.
Please see:

What will you do to commemorate June 26th? Please consider sponsoring a stone in memory of Joe Stuntz and for the freedom of Leonard Peltier. We would also like to invite you to join the commemoration chat room, which will be held on June 25th, details to follow soon.
Some of our supporters have already been letting us know what they will be doing on June 26th. We at the LPDC would like to hear from you! Let us know how you will be remembering all of those that died during the Reign of Terror. We will be updating the website with all your ideas, vigils and gatherings that will be taking place. Please let Leonard know he has not been forgotten and that his supporters worldwide continue to stand beside him and demand his freedom.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the families of all the victims from the "reign of terror."
In the Spirit of Crazy Horse.............
