Been a while since I checked in to DGs. Didn't know there was this exercise forum. Now I know; yeah! Last December I finally decided to make some fundamental lifestyle changes. Although I've been on a lacto-ovo vegetarian diet for 10 years, I consumed way too much empty caloric, high fat and carb garbage. At 53yrs. old, this guy had gained 50 lbs. in 10 years!! I knew I had to stop eating junk and to get more exercise. I HAD to put the breaks on tight and make some changes. In 7 months I've gone from 208 to 175 lbs., and I've gained some muscle mass (as a result of consistent (3xW) 75 min. workouts on a Soloflex machine and free weights). Today was a cardio day so I jogged 3 miles of the 3.6 mile route I take through city streets - which I also do 3 or 4 x a week. My ultimate goal of 150 lbs.is only a few months away.
