Tuesday, 4/24: I worked out today--did you?
Today I did a leg workout in the weight room, and then did 35 minutes on the elliptical machine.

My foot is performing at about 85%. I do not have gout. My next trip would be to the foot doctor, but I don't want to go until I have another flare up (it may be difficult to diagnose when it's not causing me trouble).

1. What time do you get up?
I've checked back several days & you post about this time most days. I'm usually up by this time, but to get up earlier AND get in a workout before posting at this time? I am absolutely worthless in the early a.m. I wonder how you early morning exercisers do it.

Have you tried the rowing machine yet? I'm curious what you think of it. Ugh, on the foot problems. Hope you find a solution.

2. I have used a rowing machine before
Edited on Tue Apr-24-07 09:01 AM by MissMillie
and I do like it. I call it a "monster machine" because I think it's an amazing workout. I haven't tried it since my foot issues, but I probably will tomorrow.

My alarm is set for 4:51am. I'm usually out of the house by 5:30, at the gym (which is at my job--a college campus) by 6:15. After working out I shower and dress, and I grab a bite of breakfast at the cafeteria. I try to be at my desk by 8:30.

I have a much better record of getting my workout in if I get it done before work. Once I'm at work, I have 8 hours to come up with an excuse not to get to the gym (and let me tell you, coming up with excuses is something at which I excel).

5. I walked a mile
in the terraced gardens again.

Since I don't have a lot of upper body strength, I did 2 sets of arm lifts with 3lb weights. Light, but it was enough to feel later.
