Signed up for a 10K run
Just sent in my check to run the Buckhead Sizzler 10K. This will be my 3rd time, missed the past 3 years due to sick parents and related family emergency events. I won't have a great time, hopefully less than 60 mins. My base mileage is up to 4 miles, but I've just started at that distance.

Looking forward to it!

1. I'm doing one next month too
The Tufts 10K for Women.

My training has been off lately due to the head cold from hell. I hope to be back to running next week.

Good luck to you!

3. Run complete
with excellent running conditions. Temp was approximately 55F at the 7:30am start time. After a good start and decent times in the first 4 miles, I started struggling into the 5th mile. That's well past my present mileage (base is just now 4mi). The course was gentle, most of the uphills were in the opening 2 miles.

Finished at 59:19, unofficial. I broke 60 mins, without time to spare. The official times won't be sent for a couple of weeks, but will be available next week on the website. The official postcards with times can be used for signing up for the next Peachtree Road Race. If you have an official time from another official 10K run, you can get in a time group and not be at the back of the pack. The Peachtree Road Race is the world's largest 10K with 55,000 runners.

4. that's GREAT!
I haven't a prayer of breaking 60 minutes (I'm slower than molasses running uphill in January).

I'm thrilled for you.
