04-21-06 Stomach Question
Does anyone know of any good stomach exercises to develop my abs? Also, am I the only one who has trouble staying on those "stability" balls without falling off? I am exhausted tonight. I don't know how I'm going to do my cardio, but I'm supposed to do it 4 times/week. I've got 2 in so far.

1. Here's some stuff for waist/abs
The parent site is listed first, then two sections I picked out that may be what you're looking for. I've lifted free weights since I was a teenager - not with a goal of power lifter or body builder, but because I enjoyed it. Now, in my 60's, I've joined a gym (with my wife) and am actually beginning to do what I should have been doing all these years, and it's working. I've lost 20 lbs since Mar 2, without going on a starvation diet. Hope these links help a little.

Here’s a site that has all sorts of useful information re exercise and nutrition http://www.exrx.net/

This is a link to muscle and exercise directory in that parent site http://www.exrx.net/Lists/Directory.html

And finally, the link directly to the waist/abdomen area exercises http://www.exrx.net/Lists/ExList/WaistWt.html

2. Try these
Janda sit ups. http://www.maxmuscle.com/index.cfm?fa=article&doc_id=271&subcat=strength_endurance or
http://www.cbass.com/HardestSitup.htm You don't need the special equipment shown. A friend can hold your calves and get the same results.
Saxon side bends
Ab wheels are really good. You can start off on your knees and work to a full standing roll out
