Thursday, 1/12: I worked out today--did you?
:hi: Good morning!

I ran a mile this morning (and broke 13 minutes for the first time--I know that's no big deal for a lot of people, but it's a big deal for me).

After my run I got on the indoor rowing machine for 20 minutes (3 km) and then went into the weight room for my upper body workout!

How are you folks getting along today?

2. Light deadlift day, but it was hard
I'm burnt from the KB work I did last night. I'm supposed to go to the gym tonight to climb but not sure if I'll make it.

4. I finally get to chime in with my "yes". After staying in shape until 2
years ago, I became horribly out of shape and overweight when I took a new management job. 12 and 14 hours days combined with multiple business lunches and dinners plus being in my late 40's, well, I was discouraged.

Today, I went to the gym and worked out...12 minutes interval training on the treadmill, 15 minutes on the circuit and 10 minutes doing bench presses and biceps curls, plus 10 lunges each leg.

It's a start. I feel great!

Thanks MissMillie, for the motivation threads each day! :hi: MKJ

5. I got another 5K run in this evening.
Which will be followed up by a session on the couch instead of a rowing machine. Gonna try to do another 5K on Saturday and perhaps something a bit longer on Sunday if the legs are feeling good.

6. 6 miles, balance ball routine.
Hey, congrats, MissMillie! Breaking 13 minutes is quite the accomplishment.

8. I did.
An hour of Pilates, and it was pretty intense. I did a lot of more advanced stuff today, and it felt good.

I was sick earlier in the week so it felt good to be back somewhat. Tomorrow I'm going to the gym for some cardio. :hi:

9. Yep.
I earned enough points to have a snack of apple slices and cheddar cheese. :)
