Tuesday, 7/26: I worked out today--did you?
Hi gang,

I did 45 minutes on the elliptical machine and then did my usual knee and ab workout.

I always prefer jogging to the elliptical, but today the elliptical felt really good. (I still prefer jogging though.)

What did you do today?

1. Yes I did! Aerobic dance video, upper body weights & yoga.
I really like my upper body days, but tomorrow is lower body weights & those are so hard.

2. I'm going to Pilates tonight.
And I will probably also take a walk. My shoulder has been bothering me so I'm going in to see my physical therapist this morning. Hopefully that will help.

3. Ayup. Just got back from the gym
I did my upper body workout which consists of 12 different exercises at 3 sets of 10. I do it as quick as I can so it's kind of like a cardio workout as well. Then I did a 1 mile run/walk. Tomorrow I will do a 2 mile run/walk.

It might not sound like much compared to what you guys are doing, but I am really badly out of shape due to 15 years of pretty much abusing my body. I'm at least 75 pounds overweight. So what I am doing is pretty much kicking my butt right now.

10. Actually ....
for someone who hasn't done much in 15 years, what you did DOES sound like a lot.

Please ease your way into this. If you end up injuring yourself, you will be less likely to be able to keep at it.

Welcome!

it really cooled off out there today, was 90 yesterday, its 70 today, feels great to not want to fall over dead after 100 yards... feels good over the 2.5 miles... there was even a nice breeze today! im gonna give it about an hour and then do my lifting.

6. I sure did...
...and did too much because I was late! Then my car wouldn't start, so I was *really* late! :o

Anyway, I did get a good workout. CIA 9701: A Step Workout, plus the upper body sections of Body Blast Timesaver DVD. :-)

8. Pilates and some cardio
Hi everyone,

I just finished 30 minutes of flowing pilates and 30 minutes of this "killer cardio" audio segment. I am pretty sore from this same killer cardio two days ago, but doing pilates and low impact cardio yesterday helped reduce the soreness.

I just joined the regular check in gang yesterday. I think my posts will always be a day early! This was my wednesday 7/27 workout.

Be safe.
Jean Louise

9. Back on my bike to work!
I was running late and almost talked myself out of riding. But I've had it with excuses so I decided if I'm late, I'm late! I used the motor on my electric bike a little more this time than last Thursday and got to work in 27.5 minutes -- down another 2.5 minutes. And only 30 minutes after work -- down five minutes. I still climb some hills without the motor but it's wonderful being able to zip over the top of the hardest ones without feeling like I'm going into cardiac arrent! :)
