Tuesday, 4/12: I worked out today--did you?
I think my body rebelled a bit after the big jog yesterday (I had never done that distance before). My right hip didn't feel just right.

So I did 20 minutes on the stationary bike, then jogged 1 mile (stopping to stretch numerous times) and then on to the weight room for upper body and abs.

How was your work-out today?

1. 30 minutes jogging - cold out, hard work, all in all not bad though
I am going to be away from the gym and the precor ellipitical monster for about a week in May, so I thought I would start getting used to running outside again.

It was colder out than i thought -- I dressed for 60s it was probably more like 45 degrees. Oh well, kept me moving!

4. yup
Maxed out on squats by jumping up 20 lbs over last week's hard set, did 5 sets of 5, was pooped. Did some light overhead pressing work, curls, called it a day. Squats can take a lot out of you.

10. squats are like the super-excercise
because they work so many muscles. Yeah, I'm still feeling the burn from yesterday.

Step, Jump & Pump, minus the leg segments. My legs would definitely get too bulky squatting and lunging with a 40 lb barbell!

Edit: spelling

7. I have lost all feeling in my delts.
No, really.

You know that scene in that one Ace Ventura movie where Jim Carey gets darted and both his arms are like limp noodles as he runs? Yeah, that was me after set number 9 today.

8. Shoulder day...
pretty good. Getting back into it. Did 7 different exercises and had a couple minutes left of crunches. Unfortunately right after the first set I either had some wacky spasm or gave myself a hernia, so I'm kinda freaked out.

I'll try again later.
