Anyone here have mystical experiences?

This can be defined any way you wish, as I feel mystical experiences are unique to the individual. I don't wish to pry into details--what I'm basically trying to find out if I'm the only one here who has had these experiences.

1. Yes, I have mystical experiences,

but everyone does. Some don't know that they are having a mystical experience when they are having it. Some don't believe in God, but God loves them and tries to communicate with them just the same.

I know of people who have realized it, and it so freaked them out that they ran and hid from the revelation. As Seth said, "You create your own reality"-and I take this to mean that if, in one doesn't believe in God, they ascribe the experience to something other-without realizing there is no other.

5. A shared mystical experience,

a couple days ago my friend Julie and I were walking the labyrithne outside a local Catholic Church. When Julie got to the center she laid down on the cold pavement and started smiling.
She stood up. She said, "Feel my hands, they're buzzing."
I held them. They were warm and vibrating. My heart just leapt within me.

4. Indeed many

I have had experiences similar to out of body experiences. I have had been able to predict the actions of others. I have been awed by nature. I have been overwhelmed by feeling connected to others.

Just because I can discern explanations for these events does not mean that I don't experience them. It does nothing to lessen the impact they have on me. I just have different explanations for them than those that subscribe to mystical explanations.

6. Looking at the responses, I guess I have had a few...

Generally involving the deaths of people close to me. Though sometimes I have found other ways to explain them.

8. yes, I have, but not as often as I used to...

when I was younger (20's and 30's) I had them fairly often. They still manifest today, but with less frequency.

I blame it on my job. :evilgrin:
