Some thoughts for these troubled times
These thoughts are a description of a workshop to be held in Boulder CO, but I felt the words were timely and needed to be posted here.

The Secret Rose Garden: Exploring the gifts of Love, Harmony and Beauty

In these times of fear, anger and mistrust, as the world-at-large suffers from ignorance and alienation from one's true self, it is obvious that the lack of love for oneself cannot but result in lack of love for others. Come out of the parched land and into the verdant, living garden where true rest and renewal can be found. Sit by the singing waters and breathe deeply the perfume of the Essence that is the source of all life. Merge with the reality of your undivided unity, leave behind the appearance and look directly at the Sun of your being.

"Dare you have the courage to be who you really are?" -- Hazrat Pir Vilayat Inayat Khan

BTW, the lady giving the workshop is my husband's spiritual guide, and a person not to be missed if she comes to your area. Check her complete schedule by going to

1. Thank you, ayeshashahaqqiqa
That sounds lovely. I wish I could attend.

Last night I also posted something (in GD) to try to help in these times, though I'm not sure the intent was fully understood:

Thank you again.

2. Liked your post
and the poem, which I hadn't read before. It reminds me of an old Sufi story:

A king asked his advisors if there was a phrase that, when uttered, would make a sad person happy and a happy person sad. They coudln't come up with anything, but a wandering dervish did. He said, "This, too, shall pass away."
