I heard this author interviewed on the radio yesterday and was pleasantly surprised at his views on a myriad of topics given he is a Southern Baptist minister. He also writes books for the ACLU and a regular religion column for USA Today.

I have his book on request at the library and am very eager to read it.

Anyone else know of him or familiar with him?

1. Oh. I was kinda hoping for a different list.

With things like "You're a divisive bitch" and "Maybe your opinion would count for more if you showed up more than twice a year for worship and served on a committee" and so on.

However, that book also looks really good! Looks like a basic primer on Christianity, the stuff that people really should know, and unlearn all the cultural baggage.

I think I might read that one! Thanks for pointing it out.
