Global Day Of Prayer (Ten Day commitment)
No "Justice Sunday" at my Methodist church.

Instead: An appeal for a commitment to join Christians worldwide in participating in "Prayers toward a Greater Pentacost" from May 6-15th. "Christians of Africa are inviting the world to join them for the first ever 'Global day of Prayer' for Christ's glory and the transformation of the nations."

This is being done by a group called WayMakers (don't know if they're "fundie" or not) in conjunction with the International Prayer Council. WayMakers has a website (www.waymakers.org) but I haven't been to it so I don't know their 'politics.' They're out of Austin, TX.

May 6-15: Ten days of constant prayer (beginning on the evening of Ascension day, May 5th)

May 15th: The Global Day of Prayer

May 16-August 12th: Ninety days of blessing: A challenge for Christians to bring "practical, transformational blessing to their cities and communities."
