Saw a great animated movie...now in theaters..."Rango"
Saw a movie this week............Rango............great fun, satire on 40s and 50s westerns, will take your mind off of today's nonsence......wonderful characters, well written, outstanding backgrounds..weird idea.
.a lizzard,.. ends up in the wild west,. in the town of "Dirt"....and becomes the new guy in an old western town... he becomes sheriff.....and then all hell breaks loose..
....with all the odd characters and plots of old westerns, and more so..

Yes,.. it is an animated movie.. but this is not for kids...
It is an adult film for those whe grew up with westerns and have some kind of link towards them.
a lot of money was spent to make this film...like Cat Ballou, or Blazing Saddles, or what ever film you like as satire...great satire..

.....produced by same people who made "Star Wars"..
. Roger Ebert's review....

As an animation fan, I would say the animation is as outstanding as it is unique.
.Well worth watching for that alone, but there is so much more here, they even inject Shakespeare into it...

It is not in 3D, so see it at a mantinee...for a few bucks..I saw it a second time, and laughed just as hard..They spent a lot on the music too, like western music and.....and..???
.....please see it in a theater, lots of details on big screen..so enjoy........great escape to take your mind of of the news and your worries...please enjoy...

This is not a paid advertisiment...I just liked it a lot..
......Stuart.

1. So what makes it not a "kid" movie?

2. It can still be a "kid movie" too..
A nine year old will like Rango.....
so will a 59 year old who knows westerns..and perhaps appreciate it more..

A nine year old will like Star Wars.
.The Empire Strikes Back..
A 59 year old might appreicate it as classic film..
