Animation Review: Anal Sanctuary

Anal Sanctuary

aka: Requiem

Story: The head of a prestigious all girl music school uses a magical violin to summon a coprophagiac demon. There is very little story and no character development.

Animation: All right. Many of the scenes are not drawn as vile as one would think considering the subject matter.

Humor: No intentional humor.

Violence: The violin magically seduces the girls for the demon, so even though the girls act willing, the seduction is artificial. There is no hitting, blood, yelling, or anything like that.

Hentai Action: Most of this cartoon depicts hentai action which many will find gross.

Overall: Total guro. Long graphic scenes of enemas and demonic coprophagia. The show is split into two episodes, the second episode begins with a girl going to the school to investigate, but then nothing happens. The entire rest of the episode is guro hentai action. I was really hoping for more story, there is not even any type of real conclusion.

The shock value is fun the first time, but it just sits on my shelf collecting dust now. I was really hoping for a weird story to go with the weird visuals.

4. The title may be a parody of the anime/manga "Angel Sanctuary".

I have not seen/read Angel Sanctuary, but I hear it is about an incestuous fellow who discovers he is the reincarnation of an angel who once battle God. I have only read good things about the anime, except the brother/sister incest thing creeps some people out. I don't think Angel Sanctuary is hentai.
