We had some sudden illness in the family in the middle of this, so I just haven't had the time to follow the contest as close I would have liked.
But things are on the mend now, so I'm all set for fun! :bounce:

That's your perogative. I should warn you, though, that if you come up with something that people here aren't hoping for, you can expect lots of complaints, and might have to wind up running a poll or something. ;-) So, I suppose it's best to at least ask for suggestions...

So, to host the contest, I'll do the following:
- get a topic for the contest
- arrange submission and comment threads
- post the qualifying threads in the Lounge
- post the final thread
- roundly and loudly announce the winner

That's about it? I can do that :-)

Does anyone have a list of previous topics? I'll have a look in the threads here too.

9. Sounds like you've got it down...

The topics I remember since I've been hanging around here were graveyards (that was just finishing when I discovered this group), flowers, reflections, water, light and shadow, strength -- did I miss anything? I think we haven't done any kind of specifically "people" type shots because of the issue of getting releases from them. Oh, "green," that was another one. F. Gordon is always lobbying for "blue" but that hasn't happened yet.

I can't believe I missed the whole photo contest! Just signed in during my 15 minutes of computer time per week here in Biloxi, to see when it was going to be posted. And on these crappy slow Red Cross computers, not all the photos even loaded.
