We only need TWO MORE SHOTS
to complete this contest. If I don't have them by Saturday morning, I'm going to go with what's here. Get the word out to anybody who's MIA.

1. Down to one more...
...and I hope someone puts it in soon, because I want to pre-announce the "Extreme Processing Challenge" (for which I hope I can find at least a co-host) as soon as this contest's voting begins in the Lounge!

2. Kewl.. "Unity" AND "Extreme Processing"
I'll help out how ever I can. My other travel plans got shelved. Thankfully. :eyes: But I'll be leaving after T-Day for a week so. Hope to really bore the crap out of everyone when I get back by posting gobbles of snapshots.

One of the snaps I wanted to use for "Unity" is on film and it got "sent out" for processing. Won't have it back for another week. :( So I'll just have to go with what I got.

As soon as I know your guidelines for the "Extreme Processing Challenge" I'll see what I can scrape up. Already have an idea or two... just need to know if anything goes?

3. I would be interested in submitting but....
The best I can do under the circumstances is a couple of slides which I need to put in the needed format to get them entered. Quite literally I do not own a scanner and I would be clueless how to use one anyway. (Yes I AM that guy with little to no computer literacy). If you have any suggestions, (and considering time limitations for this contest) I am all ears so to speak. I have looked at the submitted entries and I feel that I could be competitive but if I were the judge for this contest I have seen one or 2 that I feel are far superior to my candidates.

5. Kinkos?

I have no idea how you can digitize quickly. Perhaps a friend or family member that has a scanner?

For the future... down the road.... you might want to consider a service like this.....

9. I'd love to show em.
I checked into a link by someone here who lives in Alaska. (Likely you provided it). The link was to a person with a gallery of landscapes many included his big white dog. This person is a GREAT photographer who has obviously been influenced by some of the master landscape photographers who have worked that area. Art Wolfe and John Sexton (sp?) come to mind. I used to love landscape photography, I never produced anything of THAT caliber though. I rarely had access to more than 35mm equipment, I knew that I would need large format gear to advance to those levels. Large format was...well...large, very bulky and damned expensive. Now I see that he has been producing this kind of work with a digital camera. It appears that the DU Photography Group is where I will begin my education into the realms of digital photography, I have much to learn and I know that you guys will be able to help.

10. Thank you for looking at that gallery...

I was also tremendously impressed by his skill and artistic composition. There are a lot of good photographers up here, but this one just really stood out to me. I was also impressed that he responded to my e-mail so quickly. :) Again, I would strongly urge all of you photogroupers to check out that gallery I posted. I wasn't kidding when I said these are stunning photographs.

8. No prob. I always try to respond to everyone when I can
You just never know which F.Gordon you'll get..... the lovable ;) guy high on a caffeine buzz ... the cynical old bastard.. or the incredibly bizarre insomniac.

Good luck with the Kinkos thing. Hopefully they can help.
