500mm telephoto. 2x teleconverter
iso 1000 1/640 at f13.

tripod and a remote shutter and also used mirror lockup on the camera

That is one stunning pic!

I especially love the shadows at the upper edge, where you can see the craters so clearly.

2. you get the shadows when its less than a full moon
a full moon has none since the sun is hitting the moon dead on,and not at an angle like it does at other times
