Home Town help needed - Please!
This is only a start, I'll need more help after this, I can't see straight after crawling all around some weird places.

I've struggled. In my diverse City of Winston-Salem, NC there are things I love and things that make me sad. The smell of tobacco in the air, that was here from the downtown factories, is gone now.
"Winston-Salem, Cigarette City" do you like any of them?

2. That thing is a cut out of rusty metal a blacksmith friend gave me years ago.

It's from my yard. I schlepped it in my truck. I set it up at Richard Joshua Reynolds' grave, and took some photos, then did not like them. I asked a stranger to hold it at the defunct factories so I could shoot through it.
It's been an adventure.

3. That's cool
What a brilliant idea to do that. I do like the 3rd one the best.

6. The RJR Smokestack
Shot through a camel is genius. It's a clever use of using their own branding to tell your own story, it just works on so many levels.

7. Thanks friends, the camel seems pretty unanimous. What happens to me,
especially with this subject, is emotional involvement gets in the way but the minute I post something I begin to see it through your eyes. I wanted to show how the demise of tobacco has affected our downtown, and the rusting industrial leftovers are eyesores with great meaning to us if we go and take a look. Many of the roads are closed off, and there is lots of barbed wire.

I think I did not succeed in really showing it. I have photos that are much better at it, but then the RJR chimneys aren't in the pictures. I think I may let it go altogether, or get a wide angle lens.

Thanks again for your input and patience. I'll pull out some more for you tomorrow, because I am still floundering.
