My first roll of film from my new Canon K2 Rebel

The Shallow Place. This was the baby swim area of the creek. Usually deep enough to get the kids wet but not enough to drown in.

This is our family cemetary. All my relatives from as far back as the early 1800's are buried here. I will be here too eventually.

More relatives.

This old farm dog came up to check on what I was doing. Kind of omeny, isn't it? Would have been more creepy if he'd been a rottie.

He was a presence that day.

November Rose.

A little bit of color.

2. Me too. But, they might have been better b&w
Those old slab stone graves have fascinated me (and spooked me) since I was little. I always expected Dracula to rise up out of there.

3. When I was a little girl
way back in the Dark Ages, I went to a country Quaker church in Ohio. It had an old cemetery out in back, in among the trees, where my ancestors were buried back into the 1800s. I was always so fascinated by the old graves.

4. What I like about a family cemetary
Since we've traced back our ancestry, it's kinda cool to hear the old stories and have the graves right there to identify who was who.

10. What city/town?
I'm an Ohio Quaker (although without a graveyard at our meeting).

5. What kind of film?
November Rose is very sharp and the bokeh is tasty. :9

Haven't found a film I like yet. So far.. many shots... too grainy... horrible bokeh. Haven't found a place that sells the Velveeta Film yet. Understand that Fuji still makes the Velveeta 50. I got a very good deal on the floor model of the new Elan.

Nice cemetery shots (a fave "genre" of mine too)... and I spy a few "fall" pixie dust things.
:applause:

6. Fuji 200
Ok, is the "bokeh" the unfocused background in comparison to the focused object? I'm trying to relearn a lot of stuff.

I think I have a photo for the Nov. contest, but I haven't really heard the subject except that it's Fall. Is it any more detailed than that?

Thanks for the input. I'm going to try to take some more pix today after I read my owners manual a little more. I'm not sure what I've got available to me.

7. Yep.... "bokeh"
Regarding.... "Fall". Blue_in_AK is runnin' the show this month but I think that "Fall" is as detailed as it gets. If you think you have a photo I'm sure it'll work.

I have one pic I like, but I'm also going on a photo taking short road trip this afternoon.

9. Wonderful.
Glad to see I'm not the only one who likes to photograph cemetaries!
