Trying this again...fall entry
The Smokies

This is from the same day obviously. It'd be cool if it wasn't for that Christmas tree sitting in the middle there. Funny the things you don't notice till you get your film back. :eyes:

1. I have a picture like that....
Darned evergreen right smack in the MIDDLE of the photograph. Was I blind? What was I thinking?

3. Just apply some creative blurring to the tree and tell everybody
it's the biggest bud ever recorded :) :) :)

6. We've got big buds up here
but one this size would take the record, I'm sure. You're too funny. :)

7. If you figure it out, Blue, let me know lol

It's still a great photo. I don't know about you, but I think it's the perfectionist in me that gets annoyed more than the aesthetics of the photo, kwim?

2. Much better

Can really get the "feel" of the smokies with the larger photo. The tree in the 2nd shot doesn't bother me. I know that page 1,254 of the Photog handbook says this is taboo..... I've just never been one to follow rules much.

4. Very cool :)
I wonder if the two line up close enough so you could use a panorama stitching program to join them into one wide photo of the whole works :).

5. Beautiful and
the evergreen in the first photo doesn't bother me. It kind of frames the others.

I love the Smokies in the spring when all the wild azaleas and Rhododendrons are in bloom.Though only been to the Smokies in the spring in TN to see that so not sure if that is everywhere.

10. Thanks CC
You know, I've never been up there in the spring. I used to spend Christmases in Gatlinburg with my family (before I got married), and just seems like every time we've gone since it's been fall or winter. Maybe this spring we can manage it.
