Congratulations to all. I had about 10 host's choice awards that I could have handed out, but limited myself to three.

CC has said she will try to post a "who took what photo" thread, so that all the mysteries will be resolved.

1. BIA - now I know the abbreviation - you did a great job.

The photo being pulled was surely a cog in your wheels as well as a cog in the wheels of the contest. Yet you went ahead seemingly undisturbed.

I'm proud of you. I could not have done it this well.

We need to honor and name the photographer of "Dangerous Beauty" as the third place. A flurry of last minute votes threw WJMS and me into a tie for second.

It is such fun to learn the identity of the photographers. That moment to me is the exciting part of the contest.

2. I will certainly give credit,

although to be fair, I said the poll was closing at 6:00, I posted at 6:04 that it was now closed, and immediately asked a mod to lock it. I am usually a person of my word, and appreciate when people are prompt and on time.

But I will go back and add that one on as third place because the photo was beautiful.

3. It's very hard to time this - actually pretty impossible. Been there.

And I watched 13 votes come in a few minutes at the end after hours of nothing. Amazing.
I agree about the beauty of that photograph and want the photographer to get the honor.

This sure was a contest with lots of wonderful photos and the voters did a fantastic job selecting the winners. I felt honored to be in the same thread with them, much less a host's choice.
