2. I laughed
and then envisioned horses prancing around the ring with hood ornaments attached to their bridles.

3. i looked and looked again, and whatever it is, I must be missing it. Yet,
Edited on Fri May-20-11 11:43 AM by Mira
if I were at Santa Anita I would bet on this horse since I would like a Mercedes Benz. Preferably small, and convertible.

(and a color TV)

Please come back Elfin Yeti, and tell me what I'm missing.
Thanks.

9. You make me laugh!!
OK, my experiment worked -- I like the photo but I suspected for reasons that weren't apparent to anyone else. The man in the foreground is a groom and he is as rough and downtrodden looking as you can imagine -- it doesn't seem to translate. I thought it was a polar opposite from the MB logo on the (undoubtedly hugely expensive) horse. Thanks to all who took the time to take a look and comment!

5. I like the candid feel
of the photo, but I find the Mercedes logo distracting from the man and the horse. Just my two cents.

11. Thanks Mz Pip!
I think I'll deep-six the photo as it doesn't translate as I'd hoped.

13. As long as someone sees something in the image, it is
worth keeping. Everyone's reaction is their own.

Joy or revulsion are the same.

6. Dear Lord,
When I ask you for a Mercedes Benz I meant the car, not a horse.
Sincerely, Janice

You have a nice juxtaposition going on there. Not sure about the NASCAR like branding though. Next they'll start dyeing logos right on the horse. I am kidding but then got to thinking, there is some ad man somewhere trying to figure out how to do just that.

14. He doesn't look downtrodden to me at all. I suspected he was a groom (who else would be allowed so
close to the horses?), and he holds his head in a confident way. He doesn't feel out of place at all. I agree about the logo being distracting.

18. It's his leathery skin, among other things
which give testament to his outdoor life; his smoking, skinniness, and roughness -- which are all in stark contrast to the refinement, luxury and soft life of MB.
