SoCal The Day After The Storms.
Just took a few photos around the neighborhood here in San Pedro, CA.

You can just make out the view of Catalina Island on the horizon.

Looking more to the south; Los Angeles harbor would be just left of the image by about 1½ miles.

The Korean Bell, Angel's Gate Park.

Looking northwest from Angel's Gate Park.

1. Thank you so much for posting these, and for posting enough of them
to give me a feel of the area and the views. I sort of recognize that this could be Catalina. Have not been there, but my sister who lives in Santa Monica talks about Catalina, and pointed to it for me a few times.

I like them all, nice procession shots of the surfers. They are indefatigable, aren't they. That water looks cold.
I especially like the last shot of Angel Gate Park. Very nicely framed.

2. Hi Mira
Thanks, I'm glad you liked them. The lighting was a bit difficult and I'm still getting familiar with this camera. Next to the Angel's Gate Park is an old abandoned WWII anti-ship gun emplacement with large tunnels and bunkers. As kids we use to sometimes go in there and party in the tunnels, sometimes with a rock & roll garage band.

:hi:

Peace,
Xicano

3. Wow, Catalina!
I lived down there 20+ years and it was a rare day that we could see Catalina. Nice photos. I like the surfers, although the waves seem pretty tame for after the storm.
