Making a spectacle of myself - should I keep my entry or use this?

My dilemma is that I don't have ANYONE around here who likes my entry and it is making me nervous.
I was so sure I wanted to use the haughty white women in their Armani whatevers that I did not even look for an alternative.

I DO want to get a vote or two, so I found this in my search, while time is running out.

Can we talk?

1. Okay okay!!!!
I like your entry! I really do!

It's one of those really cool interpretations of the theme.

:hi:

3. You are one of one, so far. I have a little more time.
And let me assure you, your vote means a lot! I like your entry, but then you know that already.

Actually, as I type, I realize we have 27 entries... not 29
I'm also finding lots of white contenders. I just did not look before.

5. Don't worry about it.
It's really a cool take on the theme. Different. I like different.

I have tons of stuff that would fit, too. See a couple of my also rans in WJMS's thread. amazing how much white is out there when you start looking.

2. Your Women Pondering is a better entry, IMHO.
It is more compelling than the very lovely dog above, more...mysterious and other worldly.

4. I really like your entry a lot.
I generally don't comment on whether or not I like people's entries, unless I am asked. (I did say that HC's made me laugh, though.)

But, I was thinking quietly to myself, "I really like Mira's entry." So there!

They look so stylish. :)

8. OKAY - you guys are so good to me to respond in time.
Here is what I will do, I will leave it in.
I felt entering it was a WTF moment, really, saying to myself: This is what I want to do, let the chips fall.

Now, for your trouble, I will show you the one I just now found I really like too and its name would have been

WTF = This is NC, USA

9. Don't do it!
1. Your first entry is excellent. It's different and has a memorable title. It will do well.
2. There already are two other dog photos - that won't be helpful.
3. DU is anti-crocs. You will lose votes for that.:*
4. Most of the entries here have no comments.
5.

12. The dog is cute but
it is a snapshot (even if the dog is smiling), your entry is a photo/art. Who knows if it will get votes or not, GD has its own way of doing things but it is a winner just in being. Took a good eye and imagination to "see" that one. The snow covered cars are ok but a normal sight in a large part of the world. Thinking with climate change you ought to get used to it anymore. Seems like it snows further and further south these days.

:hi:

13. I laud your pragmatism - and thank you for your appreciation of my efforts.
I'm glad I asked for the opinions and stuck with the entry, even after my family members thought it odd.

I always perk up my ears (eyes) when you appear.

I love, LOVE your entry. I'm just jealous that you took it and I didn't. It's an interesting, beautifully executed photo.

15. Thanks for your enthusiasm.
If any in my family had shown a little of that I would not have doubted myself.
Thumbs up for the bored and funny lookin' Giorgio Armani women then.

18. I have a sister who gets me and what I
like to photograph. She's an artist....sometimes my Dad gets it but the rest just think I'm rather weird. :-)

19. I ask my son
and his girlfriend for their opinions. They're both lawyers. Go figure. They picked my last winner and picked my current entry by a hair over Grounded.

I'm the only artist in my family, so I guess I have no alternative but to go with the opinion of lawyers.

20. My husband just isn't into artsy fartsy
and thinks pictures should be of people he knows. :-) I will say that he's always willing to go with my on a photo shoot and be assistant and carry my tripod for me.

It's good you have people with a good eye to help you choose.

21. Mine too.
He built my display boards for the art shows and fairs that I do and hauls all the stuff around and helps me set up. He cuts mats for me. He does take an occasional photo with his iPhone and seems quite pleased with himself when he does. ;-)

22. It's really nice to have a supportive spouse.
He insisted on getting me the new Photoshop for Christmas. I thought it was too much but he wants me to have it. (I'm a tad spoiled.) :-)
