1. I really like the second one
The third almost looks yellow, although it is a very beautiful photo.

The fourth almost doesn't look like a real plant, although from the anthers I know it is.

Just my opinion, they're all phine photos.

3. I like the first one.
Particularly with the title you've chosen! I like the variation of texture and difference shades of faded white.

4. For me it's a toss up between
the first two. The other two are nice but the flower looks fake and the other one isn't as visually appealing as the first two.

Nicely done!

5.  My house is divided.
My husband loves doors so he's crazy over White;Past Tense and I'm swooning over Fluffy White. :)

6. I'd go with Fluffy
And not hard to decide. The first one might be a contender but for the boarded up window, which kind of detracts from the photo in this particular case. I actually love the last one too, particularly the background, but the shiny leaves are a bit too much.

Fluffy has a lot of positive virtues, mainly that it is beautiful and soft, and no negatives.

I'm looking forward to this contest.

I'm on the fence too. Usually when that happens I enter a bird. :silly:

9. I think I'd choose
Fluffy. It just looks so soft and the detail is beautiful.
I love dandelions anyway though.

7. You have my vote
for "Fluffy Stuff." I'm a sucker for plant close-ups, and I have shot many fluffy dandelions myself.

But I must add that I really like "White Hobnail." The composition is very appealing, as is the "warm white" color.

8. Very very tough choices, and aren't we all having fun again?
First, though startling and beautiful, I do not vote for the Anthurium or the Hobnail, though I like the overall color of the hobnail photo a whole lot.
In the Anthurium I don't like the way the stamens (is that what they are called?) line up in a long continuation, and the white actually disturbs me.
Go figure.

Now for the others! Ding Ding Ding for the White Past Tense. Both in depiction and name. Now there's a winner!
I would straighten it so it is straight at the top, and if the bottom is then not straight no matter. I have learned in my long life of putting things on straight (lettering vehicles for example) if the top is OK, the bottom falls in place visually even if it is not perfect.

The fluffy is the runner up to the Door.
It is adorable, makes me feel good and would be a worthy entry.

Oh, I think I just blabbered too much.

12. I appreciate
your blabber. :-)

I've narrowed it down to 3. So that's a start.

10. Don't like the flower at all
Edited on Sat Dec-11-10 10:22 AM by NV Whino
But the other three are wonderful. Probably Fluffy is the best, but the other two are very close. I think Hobnail would be an interesting entry because it is obviously white without being white... if you catch my drift. I like it a lot.

11. Actually. I'm not that
crazy about the anthurium, either. I have a while orchid that I didn't post that i like better, but it stilldoesn't pop for me.

I have several variations on my hobnail glass collection and am sort of gravitating towards one of them. Going through my files it's pretty amazing how much white I have. Lots of snow, but I probably won't do a snow shot.
