1. Miss Honeychurch I made you doubt yourself now,
and for that I'm sorry. I liked the Reichstag photo so much and made the suggestion you consider using it instead.

I for one like it better, because it is so imposing and powerful looking.
I believe the fact nobody has said anything though a number have looked indicates they are not sure. You have two very different excellent shots, and the choice is tough. Either photo is unusual and eye stopping.

If you decide on the Reichstag, I would like to see you cropping the left side to correspond to the right to just the bottom of the flag.

3. One more thing - about why I must have reacted so strongly.
Here is a photo of the St. Michael's church in the town where I was born, Schwaebisch Hall, and lived til I was 12. It has steps like that, and they use it like an Open Air Theatre stage, and perform operas and plays on the steps.

So I think when I saw that photo it brought back a lot of memories.
