3. What is extra special beyond the actual phenomenal photo of the body is
the background with its strength in the top left, the strong diagonal across the center and fading out to nothing in the front right.

9. cool. what was your focusing distance?
I don't have any macro lenses, but would love to be able to take shots like this. I like the extremely shallow depth of field.

10. well, the line across there is the edge
of my thumbnail, as I held him... I used a 105 macro with a 50mm reversed on the front... I think the distance with that rig is about 2-3cm from the front element

11. thanks...you answered another question I had...
Namely, how did you get the insect to stay still. I never would have guessed you were holding it. I see why you've been dubbed the King of the Macros. You do great work.
