1. Never heard of them, but...
...always read the terms before entering any photo contest -- all too often, the sponsoring organization includes a clause whereby they gain a license for free lifetime use of any image submitted, whether it wins anything or else. Sometimes, that license is transferable, meaning that, if you try to sell that photo for stock later on, they can undercut your price and take away your sales without having to pay you a penny in royalties.
