5. Oh My, I see these and it makes the West start calling me back.
The third one is my favorite, but all of them convey the feel of what you are saying.
The third one could be the Blue Ridge, where I live.
The first one could be the plains of Kansas looking over to Colorado.

Just awesome.

6. Every October I go to Alpine for a weekend
I particularly like the German restaurant and micro brewery on the first floor of the old Holland Hotel. Last year when I went it was closed for renovation. I hope it's open again.
