At Sea
Taken from my Iphone after leaving New York Harbor heading down the New Jersey coast. Really, really dumb. Brought my D300 and never checked the batteries with all the other stuff going on. Both were dead. Live and learn.

1. I can smell it and I can feel the mist.
Great color, it contributes a lot. Sometimes, after making the mental adjustments, I enjoy myself in a different way if for some reason I can't take photos.

Hey...I signed up for the expensive photography tour of the FallingWater House...

Not only did I arrive late, and miss it......got lost!

I also had a completely dead camera. DEAD. I just wanted to die. I'd left the camera on all night, and there you go...

Next time (and there will be a next time) I plan to stay a LOT closer, and check the batteries before going!

3. I learned a lesson
Rechargeable batteries will go dead if not used. What a trip. Hanging on for 23 hours steady then add sailing at night, rain, and fog while in the shipping lanes.
