I hope you had a really good day for both of us.

(I lost my cool with the cop who gave me a ticket for expired stuff on my truck.
I dropped my cell phone into a glass of tea, and the insurance I have been paying for the phone's replacement did not pay out because as the company of Alltel was acquired by Verizon what did not travel in the acquisition was the insurance policies.

So I got to lose my cool again in the middle of the Mall and change companies.

I found a large nail in a tire. I was without power all night and part of today after a damn scary long storm.

On the good side, my X mother in law who fell and broke her arm and cracked her forehead at my grandson's graduation is doing OK, considering.
The electricity to my house actually did not fry from water damage to the breaker panel, it was an ordinary matter for the Power Company, so the "only" thing that fried was the guts of the alarm system)

That's all for today and yesterday, folks.

I bet on reflection there are interesting possibilities for photo contest themes hidden in my last couple of days.

5. Things are looking up

A customer called unexpectedly and said I had not cashed a check from October, and they would re-issue it and send it.
It was for the cost of the ticket plus thirty bucks.

Everything I touched and did today turned out OK.

Onward and upward.
(the neighborhood though is a surprising devastation from the storm)
