I like to put marigolds all around in my vegetable garden because they seem to keep some of the pests away.

They're hanging out in their containers until the garden is ready for them. :)

3. I have a funny story about marigolds

I read that wild animal urine supposed to keep deer away from plants. So I soaked cotton balls and put them all around my marigolds. One morning I woke up and looked out the window only to see a deer standing there with her nose wrinkled up and a marigold hanging from her mouth. She chewed and swallowed and then reach down for another one. So much for panther piss.
