House being demolished
A nearby house is being prepped for demolition. They've been hauling stuff out of it for weeks now. It's weird seeing someone's life piled up outside like that. Not the best pictures but I thought I'd share.

From the back:

Piles of stuff in front, so high they obscure most of the house:

2. They hauled a lot off in skips
Maybe some of that was recycled. It looks like the roof is damaged, so maybe a lot of it is beyond salvaging.

3. Tape reels...
It's been ages since I've seen tape reels. The strangest thing to me, though, is the stuff hanging from the trees but I'm not sure why.

5. Yeah, it's weird to see them
The stuff is hanging in the trees because they were literally throwing stuff out the windows. I guess some of it got caught in the trees.

4. What's the story?
Did someone just abandon the house?

I had to clear out a client's house once after we evicted a bad renter. I was amazed at all the stuff he left behind. Kid stuff, family stuff, sewing machine, jewelry, you name it. Very sad, but also some very happy people on FreeCycle.

6. I have no idea
The house has been sitting boarded up for ages. It's fairly unusual for real estate to sit empty around here. They're probably going to tear it down and build a new house. No idea what happened to the former owners/tenants.
