When it storms, I hide inside. But I have two possibilities as entries.

Poll question: When it storms, I hide inside. But I have two possibilities as entries.
I'm thinking some others have the same problems I have, and maybe an expansion from straight bad weather shots would help fill the submissions which appear stalled.

(Though one has already been submitted, which in my opinion will or ought to walk away with first prize no matter what follows.)
:)

1. My dear Mira!
These are both good pictures, but I had a much larger visceral response to the second one. It was so unexpected.

If I were you, I'd enter the second one...

I love that one!

The first one is stunning, but it's more what you'd expect in a storm pic. The second one, not as much...

Just my 2 cents!

:hi:

2. Thanks for the feedback, CaliforniaPeggy.
I'm inclined to agree with you though both of them are emotional photos to me.

The tree hurts, because it is MY tree.
The other one is a small segment of miles and miles of such heartache and refuse on Highway one in the Florida Keys after Hurricane Wilma.

After getting my camera back 2 days ago from loaning it to my grandson and driving to his school to get it because a thunderstorm approached and I needed a storm picture, I then went outside, got drenched, and found that the battery was dead.

To be frank, I just don't have anything else on this subject, so far. Though there is a photo of the aftermath of a fire storm in Yellowstone Park
If I don't enter anything it will probably be an exercise in good judgment.
:)

5. Oooh, a fire storm
I should dig up my son's fire pics, just to share. He's got a couple of awesome ones, might provide some inspiration.

3. Both excellent
Still waiting for someone to post ants storming the chocolate bunny or some kind of political storm brewing...

6. I unexpectedly got serious tears in my eyes looking at the 2nd one.
We take hurricanes so seriously down here, I think the PTSD never leaves.

Voted for #2....a different pov on the theme.

7. I felt the same way about the 2nd.
It's really poignant, this scene. The colors and the sunshine are all the more jarring for being so cheerful. It's one of the most deeply human photos posted here in a long while.

8. I like both, no fair.
I can't pick just one since they both tug emotions. Hell they both even have the diagonals thing going. Maybe just name them a and b, write on a piece of paper and draw one out of a hat. But you did give me an idea to poll a couple instead of sitting out.
