My first tries with the wide angle lens

Nothing special, just the view out of one of my windows and my balcony. I also tried different settings with the polarization filter. And yes, I am fascinated by tbe range of the lens :)
I am happy to get comments and help.

1. very good starts

experiment with tilting the focal plane of the camera, the big square part that used to hold film. try to keep that parallel to the major angles of your shot, and it will help with distortion

That is a big problem for me. To level the camera. When there are buildings I try to keep it parallel to those. I still seem to have an uneven eye :shrug:

3. Probably not so much an uneven eye

but more of the recommendation being an unnatural framing of the shot. Take your first shot in this thread as an example. Since you are standing roughly at the top of the subject building, if you keep the camera parallel to your subject you will get the building placed very low in the frame with lots of sky in the middle and top. (When on the ground, you would get the building placed high in the frame with lots of ground in the middle and bottom.) The natural tendency is to do what you did -- place the subject closer to the center of the frame, which means you have tilted the camera.

Photoshop, Paint Shop Pro, and other editors can help fix this in post processing either by cropping out the unwanted sky/ground in the parallel shot or fixing the distortion in the tilted shot.

5. The distortion is my favorite part

with those wide angles. You can get some really weird and humorous effects. I took some ultra-wide angle shots of HullBoss in Nome that are hysterically funny. He'd kill me if I posted any of them, but they're priceless. :evilgrin:

4. I like the distortion in the first one

I know it doesn't look natural, but sometimes that can be used to your advantage. In this case, a rather ordinary block of flats is made more visually interesting by the odd angle. Looks like you are off to a good start with the new lens. Have fun.
