2. Thanks. That's a scaled down version of my desktop image.
I keep forgetting to use some of my images for that purpose.

3. It's a perfect desktop.
Big Wheels from the January contest would also be perfect. That's still my favorite photo of 2009.

harness racing track is near the location of the "Camptown Races" made famous by Stephen Foster. "CampTown" is not a specific place, it is a shanty town for migrant workers. So our Camptown could, or could not be the Camptown Races of the song, but the national register felt sure enough to erect a sign proclaiming the location.

The equipment is housed in this barn. Next time I go I will go up one more level to photograph more old equipment.

10. I was raised in a black and white world. Never knew the color
of Ed Sullivan's hair. Color was for the movies, but very rare for the average photographer or home movie enthusiast. My parent's wedding photo looked to be colorized. It had that funeral home pastel about it.

So for me, black and white is the default. I love colors as much as the next person, but I was raised in a black and white world.

15. Just beautiful, 'fredo!
As beautiful as color pics of flowers can be, the texture and detail of those petals are really popping in this B&W.

16. Thank you. I'm hoping I will be able to get out and do more
black and white flowers.

There's some other experiments I want to do with color, but after a bit of study.
