Is it cold where you are? First pic with my new digital camera
Edited on Fri Jan-07-05 08:14 PM by Malva Zebrina
I spent a couple of hours reading the manual, and going through the steps, along with my husband. He has taken a few pics, but today I took my first.

I went out to capture this icicle that was backlighted by the sun, low on the horizon at this time of the year, and could not get anything on the LCD but some ersatzy thingy about using the flash.

I went back in the house, ready to confront my husband with changing the settings , as he is a "what is this button for" person.

Bwahahahah--I forgot to take the lens cap off! He was very smug, when pointing that out. :-)

Here is the first cold picture from my new digital

Hope to take more as snow is predicted for tommorrow.

Don't you just love it when your first shot off a new camera is as good as this? Makes me happy that money was well spent!

Is this your Fuji that you were considering a couple of weeks ago?

EDIT: Oops, that was HypnoToad talking about the Fuji. We need a meet-up so I can match faces with names.:dunce:
